Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. The Service
Genomarker provides a genomics analysis platform including data storage, analysis tools, and collaboration features.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. One person per account — no shared logins. You must be 18 or older, or authorized by your institution.
4. Acceptable Use
Use Genomarker for lawful research purposes. Do not upload malicious content, attempt to access other users' data, or abuse API rate limits.
5. Data Ownership & License
You retain all rights to your data. You grant Genomarker a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service. We do not use your data for training, marketing, or any other purpose.
6. Service Availability
We provide the service on a best-effort basis. Service level agreements are available with Enterprise plans. We are not liable for data loss — maintain your own backups.
7. Intellectual Property
The Genomarker platform, branding, and code are our intellectual property.
8. Reference Data & Third-Party Terms
Enrichment analysis uses third-party pathway databases and gene-identifier references (Reactome, Gene Ontology, MSigDB, HGNC). Each source is subject to its own license and citation requirements — see Reference data sources.
MSigDB notice. Molecular Signatures Database (MSigDB) data is provided by the Broad Institute under the MSigDB Terms of Use. By using enrichment features that surface MSigDB-derived results, you agree to comply with those terms, including but not limited to: (a) restricting use to non-commercial academic research unless you hold a separate MSigDB commercial license, (b) providing appropriate citation (Liberzon et al., 2015) in published work, and (c) not redistributing MSigDB gene sets as a standalone derivative. Commercial users must obtain licensing directly from the Broad Institute.
Genomarker does not grant any rights in third-party reference data; those rights remain with their original providers.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided “as is” during early access. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Changes
We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
